An existential blog post about blogs

I conned my husband into getting me a brand new Mac because I had this great idea for a blog that had never been done before: a blog for working moms, written by a working mom. The problem with that idea is that being a working mom kind of means you really don't have time for blogging.

Fast forward 6 months, two cross country moves, and a career change; I have to have a digital footprint to stay relevant in the business of real estate. The first thing anybody does these days, whether it is choosing where to go out to eat or swiping right on your potential future spouse is to creep them via google. As a Realtor attempting to appeal to millennial and military audiences, I need to be google-able.

I need to reinforce that I am the realtor for you by having an awesome internet presence. Maybe there is some person out there that will find me relatable and (hopefully) funny and decide- yep, I want to buy/sell a home from her.

That being said, this blog is not just about real estate, finding a home, fixing a home, and making money from it. My interests are way too scattered to commit to a single subject for blogging. But I am a millennial so I don't have to choose. I can have it all. This blog is about a working mom juggling the demands of motherhood while also refusing to let being a mom stop me from achieving my professional goals. This blog is about being a dog mom who most days prefers hanging out with my two dogs than any human. Real estate isn't just about buying and selling houses, its about lifestyle; and so is this blog.
